Gin Experience Weekend
Following the fantastic response to our Wine Experience Weekend earlier this month, we’re thrilled to announce our next exclusive event — the Gin-Making Experience Weekend, in partnership with the brilliant team at The Gin Nest, Torquay.
Join us at The Cleveland from Friday 12th to Sunday 14th September for a truly unique 2 night break that combines relaxation, great food, and the chance to craft your very own bespoke bottle of gin.
What’s included:
– 2 nights Dinner, Bed & Breakfast at The Cleveland 🛏 🍽
– A locally-made gin, COMPLIMENTARY pre-dinner drink on Friday evening 🍸
– A hands-on Gin-Making Experience on Saturday afternoon with The Gin Nest
– Your own bottle of gin to take home, crafted using your personalised recipe

👫 The experience includes one gin still per couple, but if you'd prefer to create your own individual gins, this can be added for an additional fee.

Additional nights can be added at our usual rates, but you MUST stay with us for a minimum of two nights on Friday 12th and Saturday 13th September.
Here is everything you need to know:
Friday 12th September
Arrive at The Cleveland from 2pm onwards, enjoying our complimentary tea or coffee and homemade cake should you wish to.
At 6:00pm, enjoy a COMPLIMENTARY locally-made gin, pre-dinner drink, followed by a home-cooked two course evening meal.
Saturday 13th September
Enjoy our award winning breakfast, between 8:30 and 9:30.
The rest of the morning is then your's to enjoy Torquay.
Taxis will depart from The Cleveland at 2pm. Transport by taxi to and from The Gin Nest is included.
From 2:30pm, enjoy your 2 hour Gin Making experience, creating your own craft gin using a traditional copper pot still. Learn how to distil your own gin in their 5 star-rated gin school. You will choose from carefully selected botanicals to create your own unique gin profile. Their experienced team will help you learn which aromas and flavours compliment each other to create your perfect gin.
Gin and tonics are included to enjoy throughout the two-hour experience and you will take home your own bottle of 500ml hand-made craft gin.
At 4:30pm taxis will return you to The Cleveland.
At 6:30pm, join us for a home-cooked two course evening meal.
Sunday 14th September
Enjoy our award winning breakfast, before your 10am departure.
Spaces are limited and this event can only be booked directly with us.
Rates start from just £345 for 2 nights inclusive, for 2 guests in one of our small double rooms. Other rates apply for our larger rooms.
